The Great Mon Climb

First attempt at Trijam from August 9th through August 12th.

This game is called "The Great Mon Climb" It's about a space man climbing Olympus Mons on Mars. It's based off of The Oregon Trail. 

------ HOW TO PLAY -------

The game uses basic Pico-8 controls. Simply press Z or X on your keyboard to progress! Ctrl-R will reset if you die.

Note: In future updates there will be options to eat/survive with your rations/oxygen. For now it's luck of the draw to try and get to the top of the mountain.

• Restart game without CTRL-R
• D-Pad options for proceeding, eating, resting, etc.
• Better animtions
• Better mountain detail
• Twinkly stars

This game is absolutely not finished, however in the spirit of the trijam time limit I went ahead and uploaded. I may polish it up a bit later but for now enjoy my very first game jam submission!
